Amanda Smith, P.E., LEED AP

Amanda is a civil engineer and urban planner specializing in resilience and sustainability. As a project manager and member of Insight’s civil engineering and urban planning teams, she is dedicated to delivering high quality work in a pleasant and efficient manner. She has experience working with a wide variety of clients, across a variety of industries, on projects of varying levels of complexity. Her intuition for the way people interact with the spaces around them and her focus on granular detail merge conceptual and technical thinking to deliver a superior product.

Prior to joining Insight Civil, Ms. Smith worked as a city planner for the City of Miami, as a civil engineer on site design and stormwater engineering projects, and as an environmental engineer helping large utilities develop plans to recover resources from waste. Throughout her career, she has developed a passion for sustainable design and for bridging the divide between disciplines throughout the design process. Amanda graduated from Florida State University with a bachelors in Civil Engineering and currently holds a Professional Engineering license and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Neighborhood Development accredited professional. In addition to her time working with her colleagues at Insight, she enjoys staying active in the beautiful New York City parks and developing her macro photography portfolio.
