Anna Dedon, PE, ENV SP | Project Engineer

Anna Dedon is a Project Engineer at Insight Civil. Anna has supported various projects throughout New York City, with responsibilities including preparation of utility design, site analysis, drainage mitigation, and civil plan and profile layouts. Much of this work has been done with a focus on flood mitigation, in response to Superstorm Sandy and increasing threat from climate change. This has included repairs and resiliency measures at Kingsborough Community College and Coney Island Hospital, collaboration on data analysis for New York City’s Build it Back Program, and drafting of a new Sustainability Plan for Battery Park City. Anna has also worked on a variety of shoreline inspection projects to analyze the condition of marine structures throughout the five boroughs to determine their need for future rehabilitation.
Prior to joining Insight Civil, Anna worked as an intern at Sevee and Maher Engineers, Inc. in Cumberland, Maine. In this role, she performed stormwater analyses, drafted project permits and proposals, and assisted in the design of site layout and grading plans. She also participated in a project to develop the accuracy of a drone in determining ground surface elevation for use in surveying. Anna is a graduate of the University of Delaware and holds a B.S. in civil engineering Delaware and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE). She is also certified as an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. Outside of work Anna enjoys traveling and has studied abroad in France and Australia. |
