Grace Lee is the Senior Vice President and Director of the Urban Planning, GIS and Sustainability Consulting practices at Insight Civil Engineering. Grace’s unique background in private sector consulting and public sector policy development has equipped her with the skills required to lead development and growth of multiple technical service groups at the firm.
Grace specializes in management and oversight of sustainable urban infrastructure and planning projects of varying size and complexity. Areas of professional competency include planning and permitting, project management, cartography and GIS mapping, comprehensive community planning, demographic and statistical analysis, cost-benefit analysis, demand projections and modeling, sustainable infrastructure project assessment, and water resource management. As an accomplished surfer and outdoor enthusiast, Grace is particularly passionate about protecting our water bodies and the natural environment.
Prior to joining Insight Civil Engineering, Grace served as Deputy Director in the Bureau of Environmental Planning and Analysis (BEPA) at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) and as an urban planner at Gannett Fleming, Inc., an international, full-service engineering design firm. Grace holds a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, a B.A. in Business Administration and B.S. in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College. Grace holds the AICP credential, and is also a credentialed Envision™ Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
