NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital CMMS On-Call Services

Ongoing Computerized Maintenance Management System Consulting

The NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital system is one of the largest and most comprehensive university hospital systems in the world, with six main campuses in New York City and Westchester encompassing 35 buildings with over 10.6 million square feet of managed space. The hospital’s Facilities Operations department tracks maintenance of its equipment through an online Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). NYP’s Facilities Systems Group (FSG) is responsible for maintaining this system.

Insight Civil Engineering provides on-call assistance to FSG in matters of data quality assurance/quality control, major data updates/overhauls, troubleshooting, data report design consulting, and digital handheld integration. Projects have included updating asset categorizations to the “Uniformat” standardized system for classifying building components, providing feedback on the design and accuracy of regulatory compliance reports, quality control for data entered by contractors, training staff mechanics to collect data readings electronically on handheld devices, and updating aspects of the system for compatibility with these devices.
